A “Both/And” person in an “Either/Or” world

When I hear “Oh, you’re the business person, and your partner is the creative person” – I think about the frustrations of being a “Both/And” person in an “Either/Or” world.

This happens all the time.

“Business or creative?”

“Science or marketing?”

“Attraction to men or attraction to women?”

I’m a scientist and strategic marketing coach – and a proud bisexual. So when I hear these, I always think: “Bananas… or cats?”

You can have both bananas AND cats. Just sayin’. 😀
