Tearing down the dollhouse to build a cathedral
“You’ve been in business for a while — but recently your business feels like that old wool sweater that shrunk in the wash. Too tight, too hot, too itchy, and you can’t wait to take it off and trade it in for… your next level. You’ve outgrown your current level. What’s next?”
That’s literally what I’m deep in the middle of for myself right now. (Emphasis on “in the middle of” - I feel like my brand / website is evolving every week 😀). I call it “tearing down the dollhouse to rebuild a cathedral”.
It’s really hard to see from the inside that they’ve outgrown their current business – because they’ve blown past it – but that there’s an entirely different world waiting for them on the other side of that. IF they have the courage to tear down the dollhouse – and build the cathedral that’s been whispering to them softly in their dreams.
But this is hard – and calls up all of the rawness, fears, vulnerability, professional culture factors, and limiting beliefs that have subconsciously built the ceiling of their current level - brick by brick. Some of those have to be lovingly, compassionately, empathetically dismantled to help them build their own personal next-level spectacular cathedral. 😀
I’m walking the path now and know first-hand the difficult emotions that arise from confronting the walls that I’ve built around myself that have formed my own personal prison. But now that I’ve taken the hard road of walking through the fire, cracked the walls, and the sunlight is pouring in again – I want to help others down this path. Of tearing down their own dollhouses – and building their own personal – spectacular – gorgeous – cathedrals. ❤️
